What it means to be a Shinobi

What does it really mean to be a shinobi? We all have been fascinated by this sub-culture in japan. They have definitely been romanticized in literature, movies, games and even in the anime culture that we all love. But what is the significance of living the life and comparing yourself to a shinobi?

Shinobi or ninja used to be a group of people in Japan that has been oppressed and maltreated by their Imperial leaders. These people are mainly comprised of peasant and common folk who are tired of how they are treated. So they trained themselves in the art of stealth and assassination and made a great change in how things were. Their impact has been legendary even today.

But are they still significant now, besides being characters in games and anime series? I believe so, They are an inspiration that common people can make a difference too. That if you train hard and learn in your art, improving your skill, then you are bound to achieve something great. You are bound to make a change like the same ninjas in the past has accomplished.

Ever learning, Always improving, then eventually that change comes. Even if in the shadows you have gone unnoticed. That impact you made will still make a dent in your lifetime.
